Mindfulness For Health Testimonials
What I got from this course is a gift I carry with me at all times, to help me cope with pain and difficulty. I’ve been taught ways in which I can make life less difficult/painful – the value of this is immeasurable. The techniques may seem simple but their effect is immense.—Course Participant
I’ve learned acceptance of my pain and the tools to help live a more meaningful life. Also, have found the balance with high stress situations. How to love myself and extend it outwards. Fidelma is an excellent teacher. Not only does she have the knowledge of teaching mindfulness for pain, she also has the compassion to go with it. She has given me the strength to go forward with meditation on another level.—Course Participant
I got assistance with allowing myself to pace myself; help in staying in the moment and not catastrophizing; slowing down and trying to concentrate on what I’m doing rather than rushing on to the next task. CDs were very helpful. Very kindly facilitator, I felt very supported.—Course Participant
I can see a way of practicing in the moment which can defuse a lot of anxiety I experience in relation to my illness and where it might bring me. Having lived with fibromyalgia for the past eight years this is one experience which I know will have a lasting positive effect on my condition. Each session was a good combination of practice, instruction, space for feedback and group discussion. I am leaving the Mindfulness for Health course feeling gifted. I have a greater awareness of the reality of my condition and how to cope with the physical and emotional difficulties it has caused. Thank you very much for the privilege of learning these important lessons.—Course Participant
